Blanca Riestra

Blanca Riestra (A Coruña, 1970) has a PhD in Hispanic Philology from the Universidad de Borgoña. She has published the Anatol novels and two others: La canción de las cerezas (The Song of the Cherries), which won the Premio Ateneo Joven de Sevilla 2001; El sueño de Borges (Borges’s Dream), Premio Tigre Juan 2005; Todo lleva su tiempo (Everything in its Good Time), shortlisted for the Premio de Novela Fernando Quiñones 2007 and Madrid Blues. The latter two were published by Alianza Editorial. She has been director of the Instituto Cervantes de Albuquerque, in the south of the United States, near the Mexican border.
