From the early on in History, making secret information a vital tool to make decisions and gain power has developed along side foreign and home affairs politics. Republics, monarchies, dictatorships or democracies, they all had their own ways of obtaining and processing secret information, hired spies and had policies in place with regards to how information would best serve the State.
This book tries to separate fiction from reality and analyses, from a historic point of view, a systematic and consistent activity in every period in History.
