My name is Ed Shean, I'm twelve years old and I'm a detective. Yes, a real live detective, the kind that solves cases, I know that that sounds strange in the year 2102. I landed in the profession a bit by chance, or at least that's what I thought at the start... It all started the second week of September when I broke my tibia and fibula, had my leg put in plaster and had to spend several weeks without leaving my room. Opposite my flat there is a brick building, an old construction from the twenty-first century, a kind of factory which was closed for many years and is just starting to be restored. One night, by chance, I saw something that I shouldn't have seen...
