Enrique Rojas, a professor of Psychology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and director of the Instituto Español de Investigaciones Psiquiátricas, is part of a generation of humanist scientists that has a long tradition in Spain and in the rest of Europe. He was awarded the Premio Conde de Cartagena of the Real Academia de Medicina de Madrid for his work about depression and Médico Humanista del Año in Spain (1995) and his work has been translated into numerous languages. His research work has focused on two issues: depressions and anxiety.
